 Puff Daddy has decided to do the right thing by including the Luniz in the new remake of his current song 'Satisfy U' which features singer R. Kelley. In case you don't know Puffy has been getting a lot of heat at least here in the Bay Area because he had generously lifted the beat from the Luniz classic jam 'I Got 5 On It'. The Luniz of course picked up that riff from another Bay Area group Club Nouveau. At least when the Luniz copped the beat, they had the decency to replay it. I recall earlier this summer when Puffy was visiting the Bay Area, he was attempting to get a hold of the Luniz shortly after he premiered the track. That no doubt had to be inspired by the initial negative reaction to that track. In other Puffy news, he just dropped a copy of the new Biggie single which is entitled 'Dead Wrong'. It's a slow mesmerizing track that'll no doubt get your head nodding..The tracks were given out to key deejays during the recently held 'mixshow convention' held in Miami Florida. It was definitely good to hear 'Big Poppas' voice on track as the early word on the street is that the new album is 'blazing'. Look for it to drop on December 7th. Oh yeah, folks fret not.. Puff ain't rapping on the track :) Lastly, it has been widely reported that Puff's Bad Boy studios was hot up in a drive by shooting. Supposedly Lil Kim and Lil Cease along with their entourage were involved. The story that was being circulated asserted that the shooting was the result of an altercation involving Bad Boy's new Biggie sound alike Shyne. The story was first reported in the New York Post. However, all the parties concerned including NYPD are denying this went down. As this story develops, the full story will definitely emerge. We'll keep you posted. |
